Antique Chinese Chests - Home Décor With A Story

Watch on House Cinema: https://houseofwillowalexander.co.uk/cinema/antique-chinese-chests-home-decor-with-a-story Some pieces arrive as objects. Others arrive as stories. These early 20th-century Chinese camphorwood trunks came into the House of Willow Alexander collection many years ago, gifted to our founder by a dear friend, a brilliant soul who ran a fashion and interiors boutique and quietly designed spaces for some of the most recognisable names in culture. They once lived in rooms filled with silk, fittings, laughter, and last-minute couture adjustments. Before that, they travelled oceans. Camphorwood chests were made to protect what mattered, garments, letters, dowries, memory itself. We keep them not as decoration, but as witnesses. At the House, stewardship is not only about gardens and homes. It is about lineage. Craft passed between hands. Friendship embedded into timber and brass. The quiet continuity of taste. Some things are acquired. Some things are inherited. #objectswithmemory #antiques #furniture #homedesign #homecare #homestewardship #stewardship #willowalexander #camphorwood #chests #chineseantiques #homedecor #homedecorideas #antique #antiquedecor
